Welcome to My Teaching Pathway!
Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Riley Andrews, and I am a Gender Studies student at the University of Victoria, preparing to apply to the Post-Degree Professional Program (PDPP), Elementary Education. This site brings together my academic background in Gender Studies, my experiences working with children, and the values that guide the kind of educator I hope to become.
My goal as a future teacher is to create learning environments where every child feels safe, included, and able to thrive. Gender Studies has taught me to notice how power, representation, and social norms shape children’s experiences inside and outside the classroom. Through this website, I share how these ideas inform my approach to teaching, learning, and community care.
